Reflections in Photography - 3

Ok this will be the last post on reflections in photography for a while. The above picture is a really fast "floating" cell phone. Yeah I could have spent another 10 min and cleaned up the white on the right hand side ... so what. Either way How do you get this type of image? EASY!

Yes it is another cheap quick setup. String was taped to the phone and to the ceiling and to a light stand. There is a single strobe on the phone with a reflector bouncing light to give the right side some highlights. There is also another strobe on the white background to try and over saturate (even though it didn't in the very top photo) the background. Now one thing that you may not notice is the white board on the table. This is a pretty key piece of equipment. The LCD screen of the phone has the white reflection in it. Without this reflection the phone does not look nearly as nice. So take the shot with the reflection and then through it into photoshop and clone out the strings that are suspending the phone in the air and you are done.
